HP Launches iPAQ Trade In Program
Trade-in programs have been leveraged by palmOne and others in the past, now HP wants in on the action. The program runs through July 10th and is valid on the h1940/5 and the h2210/5 iPAQ PDAs. Perhaps the best part of the deal is the basement is $50 for a working PDA, so this might be a nice opportunity for someone looking to upgrade.
Check out their custom quote tool to see what your old PDAs are worth to HP. Just be advised that this offer is best with ancient PDAs. For instance, a Sony Clie UX50 in excellent condition only yields $125. A Toshiba e805 is only fetching $75. You get the point. Unload newer PDAs on eBay, but if you have a clunker that still runs, then score $50 on a nice upgrade.
After getting the order in the system, HP will even pay to send your old unit in. Forms must then be faxed in for approval and rebate checks will be sent within 30 days.
